Review & Description
These "dinky journal" are eco-friendly, 100% recycled and have their covers embellished with a handcrafted elephant theme. Each item will have ~40 inside pages that are light colored and match the theme of the front cover. These books are great stocking stuffers for the Holidays as well superb conversation pieces year round. No purse, pocket or glove compartment should be without their poo paper. Great little items for "show and tell" too. Mr. Ellie Pooh is an eco-friendly Fair Trade company making exotic gifts and paper partially out of elephant poo! Elephants in Sri Lanka are being killed at an alarming rate. Humans are encroaching on elephant habitats and cutting down trees. When elephants come looking for food, they are shot and killed. Our mission is to put sustainable paper-making and artisan jobs in these conflict areas. Our hope is that meaningful work will change the perceptions of Sri Lankan farmers; these noble creatures can be an economic asset instead of a threat. Mr. Ellie Pooh's paper products are 100% recycled. They are made up of 50% fiber from elephant dung and 50% post consumer paper. There are no toxic chemicals used in our paper making process. Natural vegetative binding agents, along with water-soluble salt dyes for coloring are used. Mr. Ellie Pooh's papers are handmade, acid free and as organic as it gets.
