Review & Description
The whimsical image on our journal is taken from a hair ornament (ca. 1904) crafted by Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848–1933) now in the Museum's collection. The ornament features two dragonflies resting on two dandelion seed balls. Made of platinum, enamel, and gemstone, the object was originally owned by one of Tiffany’s most enthusiastic patrons, Louisine W. Havemeyer. Flexible bound journal has a decorative gold-stamped emblem on the front. Inside are 256 lined pages with a ribbon marker waiting for mementos and thoughts. Journal is 4 3/4 x 6 5/8-inches. Look for matching Correspondence Cards. Always send the right message with a delightful selection of signature holiday cards, correspondence cards, and notecard boxes, along with calendars, address books, pens, and notepads, featuring artworks from The Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection.
